The Team

Director of Nursing and Disability Care

Kym Poidevin

Over 20 years ago I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and completely change my career path to become a nurse. My journey began as an Enrolled Nurse in a remote country hospital in NSW. I went on to complete my studies as a Registered Nurse, and have since completed a Graduate Certificate in Acute Care Nursing.

I have worked in a variety of States and settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and community nursing. I have worked with patients and clients of all ages, backgrounds and speciality areas. I have a particular love for medical nursing and palliative care..

My other interests include nutrition and exercise, music, movies and photography. I have a love for animals, particularly dogs and cats.

I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of my clients, and I am excited to do just that within our beautiful supported living home we have affectionately called “The Hive”. I look forward to meeting you!

Originally from Wales, UK, I emigrated to Australia over 13 years ago. After living in the Western suburbs of Sydney for a year, I moved to the beautiful Gold Coast, where I've resided for the past 12 years. I am a compassionate and friendly Registered Nurse with over 20 years of diverse experience in medical, surgical, aged care, and mental health settings.

My passion lies in providing holistic, person-centred care, particularly for individuals with dementia, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities, especially under the NDIS. I hold a Graduate Certificate in Acute Care and am completing a Master of Counselling and Guidance.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my family and friends, and I enjoy eating healthy, walking, pilates, and walking my pet dog. I take great joy in helping people achieve their goals and love hearing about their journeys through life. I look forward to working with you in our beautiful "The Hive" home.

Bronwyn Eady

After 25 years in a previous management role in the finance industry in Sydney, I worked towards a lifetime nursing career goal. I gained my diploma in nursing in 2015, and through my nursing journey, I have obtained extensive experience with dementia, mental health, and palliative care patients. I have worked with allied health, including occupational therapists, to help develop behaviour support plans. I have a particular love for working with palliative clients and those who have cognitive impairments.

Outside of the work setting, I am passionate about cooking delicious healthy meals, walking, shopping, gardening, and growing my own vegetables. I am thrilled to see our vision become a reality and look forward to meeting you in our lovely “Hive”.
